The warranty can be purchased anytime within the year. I just received a reminder from Suzuki that I still have 3 months to go to make a decision. So you may want to decide to wait and make a decision upon your early riding experience.
I bought compact slant Willie and Max saddlebags with minimum capacity. It seems like the guys in Europe have found larger (and better) saddle bags. I think the brand name is Held. I have not seen them anywhere around where I live.
Remember you also should buy saddle bag brackets (60-70 dollars from Suzuki).
I like the way slant bags look, but I am not sure if they have as great utility.
